Math Game Homework

About once a week (usually on Thursday) math homework will be a game. I suggest that you have your child choose a special place at home to keep their game directions and materials such as number cards and dice. Game materials will need to be reused throughout the school year. Also, some students may need to play the games repeatedly at home to reinforce math skills. On days that games are assigned that do not require the student to complete any type of worksheet a “math game ticket” will be sent home. Monday - Thursday: Read a minimum of twenty minutes. Child records titles on reading record kept in take home folder. Specific reading material is not assigned. Books, magazines, and web pages all count! Monday: Spelling (Specific assignments will be sent home.) Tuesdays and Thursdays: Math (Specific assignments will be sent home.) Additional assignments will be made as needed. Please check your child's folder on a daily basis. Makeup Work: Most of the work we do at school can not be done at home.
